Nico Mesiainen, Bachelor of Laws with Honors, graduated from the University of Kent in 2015. At the moment Mesiainen is finalising his Master’s degree in Law at the University of Helsinki. Before his current role Mesiainen worked at a law clinic in the UK and at one of the leading law firms in Finland.
In his studies Mesiainen has focused on international law, private international law and EU law. In his work Mesiainen has focused on finance and corporate law, also having experience in employment-, criminal-, insolvency- and property law.
Mesiainen has experience from domestic and international assignments alike, with focus on demanding transactions for large and medium-sized companies, drafting finance and security documentation, due diligence projects and making legal translations.
While working at the law clinic, Mesiainen assisted clients who had legal issues about employment and criminal law, also representing them in court. In addition, Mesiainen has years of experience when it comes to organisation work and positions of trust, and he has for example served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Kent Student Law Review.
